The Rocket Room is an intervention space which addresses curriculum gaps through interactive teaching sessions to support children in meeting Age Related Expectations.
Sessions are planned using focussed objectives, taken from the National Curriculum. Planned sessions are shared with teachers, who then nominate children to take part any groups which they feel would address gaps in knowledge, that could be hindering them from meeting Age Related Expectations.
If your child is attending the Rocket Room to address a specific gap, your child’s teacher will let you know. Your child will also bring home a letter outlining the gap they are attending Rocket Room to address, and strategies which you may like to use at home to embed the skills and knowledge that will be taught in this session.
If you have any questions regarding your child’s attendance at Rocket Room, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher who will be happy to discuss these with you.
