PE Curriculum

All children at Hanwell Fields from year 1 to year 6 get 2 hours of PE every week delivered by a PE specialist.

This enables a wide range of skills and sports to be taught giving all children the opportunity to excel at sport. We have bought into the KeyPe Sports programme of planning which covers the majority of the lessons taught. In addition to this all children get 3 hours of small group swimming teaching each year. There is also focus on increasing the broader sports related skills that children need to support their participation in a wide range of sports. Examples of these are given here:

All children are assessed each term against their age-related expectations for each sport of skill set that is being taught. Children will be assessed as working towards, age-related or greater depth.
