At Hanwell Fields our ethos is to enrich, educate and equip our pupils for their next stage of their educational journey.

We believe that pupils should not only study and learn the curriculum through an enriched broad, balanced and exciting delivery that equips them for their next stages. For example, our foundation subjects skills and knowledge is planned with Key Stage 3 expectations in mind, through partnership with the secondary subject specialists. But we also believe that each moment that our pupils are with us is a learning moment.

An example of this is that we offer continuous provision at lunchtime, allowing pupils to share experiences across year groups, developing leadership skills in our older pupils.  Our extensive after school clubs offer a wide range of activities for children; from Sports Academy, Drama Academy to our talented art club.

Pupils experience leadership through pupil ambassadors, learning ambassadors and learning leaders.

In KS2, pupils debate current affairs through Burnet News (Economist Educational Package) allowing them exposure to every day news that affects them. Our drop down days allow greater emphasis on PSHE and citizenship learning alongside enrichment activities.

Please see the termly brochures for information of what it is like to learn at Hanwell.
