Welcome to Ladybirds

The first few years of a child's life are hugely important, they shape their future development, influence how well they do at school, and affect their ongoing health and wellbeing and their achievements later in life.

Ladybirds welcome all families and children, regardless of race, culture, sex, social class, and disability. We seek to work closely with all families having a positive impact on the children’s development. Our aim is to create a stimulating learning environment where all children access an exciting curriculum, ensuring every child is happy and highly motivated to learn.

We offer care for children from the age of 2 years old. We are part of a large Early Years Foundation Stage Unit within Hanwell Fields Community School. Children in the setting access a vast variety of attractive, stimulating, and educational experiences. More importantly, they receive the care, support, and teaching from a wide host of Early Years Professionals. As a team, we aim to bring a variety of knowledge, experience, and expertise to the setting - supporting and nurturing children in their early education

PLEASE NOTE- When considering applying for a space with us, we highly recommend you contact us to arrange a visit. It is so important that you feel comfortable and confident with our setting and have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about what we have to offer. You can read some more within our Welcome Pack.

Staff

We benefit from having a mixed age range within our staff team, which means that we not only gain knowledge and understanding from new ideas but also from life experiences of being parents ourselves. This means that we have a vast wealth of knowledge and experience that can be used at any time. We share duties and responsibilities between us, and because of our close working relationships, all of the staff get to know all children in order for them to feel secure.

Our team all holds a variety of qualifications that are all nationally recognised. Between us, our skill set, experience, and passion for Early Years are our biggest assets.  Quality interactions and playing alongside your children is priceless. Therefore, we pride our day on those moments where we play alongside and encourage our youngest learners to interact with their peers and engage in the world around them. In addition to our qualifications, we ensure that all staff receive paediatric first aid training, food hygiene and safeguarding practices are all updated regularly.

In accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory requirements, all our staff are checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service. Upon employment, new staff are provided with an induction to educate them on our policies and procedures. These are the underpinning foundations of our approach to high quality care and education in early years.
