Welcome to Hanwell Fields Community School, part of United Learning. Our shared vision is: The Best in Everyone. To us this means we are driven to support and enable every pupil and member of staff to achieve their best. We achieve this through our school values, aspirational curriculum and expansive extra-curricular provision – where we: 

• Engage our pupils in their learning through inclusivity and by creatively tailoring lessons to their needs and their interests. 

• Educate our pupils through high expectations, beyond the national curriculum and beyond the classroom. 

• Equip our pupils with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in their futures… wherever that may lead. 

There several key drivers that ensure our vision becomes a reality: 

• Firstly, and most importantly, our pupils must feel safe and happy in school. Our school is friendly, inclusive and nurturing with a wonderful environment and school grounds.  

• We have a strong focus on wellbeing, of staff and pupils, so they are all ready to achieve their best at whatever challenge they are tackling. 

• We have fantastic, passionate, skilled staff who care about our pupils, their happiness and their education. From research, we know that one of the biggest drivers in pupils’ performance, in and out of the classroom, is staff development – so every member of staff has a comprehensive CPD programme aligned to their role. 

• Finally, we know that strong links between home and the school is imperative to a child’s happiness and success, so we have a planned timetable through the year where families can visit school and engage in their child’s learning. We have also developed new systems and structures for communication so there can be a direct link between home and the classroom. 

All of this combines to achieve strong academic outcomes but, more meaningfully, provides an environment where our pupils discover a love of learning, where they are happy, confident, make life long memories and friendships and… ultimately, find the best in themselves.
